Enjoolata Cake & Coffee Grant

Current Round Fully Allocated

Next Open for Applications: 01 July 2026 10.00 am

Grants of up to £100

As our partners will know, we at Enjoolata love a bit of a catch-up over tea and cake. Our Cake and Coffee Grant is a new, small, wellbeing fund designed to support our partner staff teams to take a break, recharge, and reconnect away from their desks.

We know that burnout is a growing challenge in the voluntary sector, and yet dedicated funds for wellbeing are rare. In creating this grant, we hope to encourage small moments of pause and connection; whether it’s to reflect, share ideas, or just enjoy a well-deserved treat.

What’s available?

Each quarter, existing partners can apply for a grant of up to £100 to treat your team to coffee and cake together.

  • Up to £100 if visiting another one of our partner-run coffee shops (£10 per person)

  • Up to £75 if visiting a non-partner, commercial coffee shop (£7.50 per person)

Eligibility

This grant is open to existing partners, it must be used within the quarter of the application, and only one grant per team per year will be considered.

How to apply

Just complete our simple, straightforward online form. You’ll be asked:

  • Organisation name

  • Team size

  • Preferred coffee shop (partner or not)

  • Brief reason for taking the break (1-2 sentences)

Applications are first-come, first-served each quarter until our allocation is spent.

What do we ask in return?

All we ask in return is that you:

  • confirm of receipt of funds

  • complete a 1-minute feedback form: “How did this benefit your team?”

  • upload a photo of your team enjoying the break (optional but appreciated!)

Why are we doing this?

  • Healthy teams make better, more sustainable impact.

We hope this small gesture helps create space for your team to thrive.

  • “We had such a lovely time de-compressing, after lots of very difficult times for our team personally and within the project. When running wellbeing support for people experiencing multiple, complex forms of discrimination and abuse, having somewhere to decompress, come together and share a meal is so important. Thank you to the Real Junk Food project too for the delicious lunch! We also popped next door to the Brighton Table tennis club on the same trip!”

    Conversation Over Borders

  • “Thanks so much for buying us some coffee and cake! We enjoyed them while we chatted about our Emerging Sussex Youth Open Call Exhibition with Jo Myles of Sussex Contemporary who are also supporting the exhibition.”

    Hospitable Environment CIC

  • “The grant was a welcome morale booster to the team. We used it for coffee and cake on the last day of a team member, to see them off well.  Thanks Enjoolata!”

    Anne Robson Trust

  • “The cakes from Team Domenica were a great addition to our staff meetings, proving a much needed opportunity to pause and catch up.”

    The Clocktower Sanctuary

  • “We get together once a month at least, being a remote working team, predominantly based in the woods. This month, thanks to Enjoolata Foundation, a few of the core team we were able to gather and connect face to face. This helped newer team members to get to know the team better, and relax informally in Cafe Domenica.

The atmosphere was great and the staff were incredibly friendly,The grant from Enjoolata Foundation helped us step together a little more closely to our vision, and we were so grateful for the opportunity to get together.”

    Circle of Life Rediscovery CIC

  • “It was really good to re-connect with some of our Thursday club volunteers while we are closed during August. It meant a lot to them to catch up and talk about lunch club and chat about the coming season. Several volunteers have a learning disability and the summer can feel a bit lonely, so we really appreciated the chance to get together.”

    Food and Friendship

  • “We had a brilliant 'coffee and cake break' yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. It was fantastic to connect with our different teams in a relaxed and informal setting of the coffee shop. We spent time getting to know each other better and we discovered shared interests beyond our usual work environment. Being used to giving a lot of our time to helping others it was nice to have some fun for ourselves and it was definitely a positive boost to our wellbeing. Thank you Enjoolata for giving us this grant, you made us feel very valued, we had a wonderful time especially eating the cake, thank you for making our lives a little sweeter!”

Long Furlong Riding for the Disabled

  • “Thank you Enjoolata Foundation for funding Purple Productions’ team building social at our friends’ Café Domenica, and part of our Christmas thank you lunch at their new restaurant “North Star” the following day! In addition to treating a volunteer team who put so much hard work and heart into what they do, it also supports our fellow partners Team Domenica. What’s lovely about being able to have a social space with the team outside of our meetings, is that the team actually gets to bond and to know each other better. This leads to more respect and kindness towards each other and ultimately better teamwork.  The team had a lot of fun and felt a lot of joy! They were very thankful, and felt valued and appreciated. So thank you Enjoolata Foundation, for making these moments possible!”

    Grace Eyre Foundation

  • “We brought together our weekly class teams including class volunteers. They usually only cross paths on

adhoc projects and when they cover each others' roles, and so having the chance to be social felt like it

gave a chance for people to get to know each other better and feel more like a whole team.”

    Parable Dance CIC

  • “Our organisation is run by volunteers who all have differing amounts of time and days to offer. Being able to get together reminds us that we are a team even though much of the time we are working alone from home. It was lovely to eat out and all together instead of a quick sandwich at our desk! It also helps us all share information about the impact of our personal situations and for us to see each other as more than co-volunteers but people with families and other responsibilities and passions. This was a team-building moment!”

    SPIN

  • “We had a really lovely afternoon out with 5 staff members and 4 volunteers at the fantastic Team Domenica venue the North Star. We enjoyed this smaller get together, getting to know some of our newer volunteers better. It was great to be able to celebrate the fact that we have now caught up with all of our referrals. It was a very welcomed treat.”

    Pelican Parcels

  • “This was such a valuable experience for us to thank our freelance artists. Members of our team who work across different projects got to meet, reflect and network. We were able to demonstrate our appreciation to the talented humans we work with at a time when budgets don't always allow for things outside of project delivery. We were able to chat about the year ahead, share ideas and solidify relationships within the team.”
