When we watched The People's Emergency Briefing, we came away feeling informed, challenged and, surprisingly, hopeful. We knew straight away we wanted to share it with our community, so we're covering the cost of some screenings to make sure money isn't a barrier. If you've been curious about the climate and nature crisis but haven't known where to start, this is a brilliant place to begin.

Hosted by Chris Packham, the film brings together some of the UK's leading climate and nature scientists, alongside voices including Jennifer Saunders and a former British Army general, to answer one simple question: what's really happening, and what can we do about it?

Rather than doom and gloom, The People's Emergency Briefing looks at how climate and nature breakdown is already affecting the things we all rely on, from our food and health to our homes, infrastructure, economy and national security. Just as importantly, it shares practical evidence about the actions that can still reduce those risks.

The film is based on the landmark National Emergency Briefing, where more than 1,200 MPs, peers and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the mediagathered to hear directly from experts about the realities of the climate and nature crisis. It has now been transformed into a national community screening programme, with screenings taking place everywhere from cinemas and libraries to village halls, schools and churches. The idea is simple: make this information accessible, create space for honest conversations, and help communities imagine what comes next together.

We know it can be a bit overwhelming to be confronted with these topics, especially when we’re feeling the consequences of decisions made in far away boardrooms everyday. So, we thought we’d take a bit more of an Enjoolata approach and bring some local joy to each of our screenings.

After the film, we'll be joined by some brilliant Enjoolata Partners who will facilitate a relaxed discussion on local action and how to get involved with some local initiatives. Sometimes, just getting out into the community and witnessing amazing people working hard to make things better can start the ripple effect of positive change (we know it always makes us feel a bit better about the state of the world!).
