Create a business plan that works for you...
‘Business Planning That Works for You’ is the first of three workshops in the series: ‘GROW YOUR WAY: Build Financial Sustainability’.
Have you got a business plan? Or have you resisted it because it sounds like a boring, stuffy thing you would only do if a bank was asking for it?
Does your business plan consist of 147 sticky notes on your wall, or several abandoned Canva templates?
If business planning feels confusing, overwhelming, or boring... this workshop is for you!
Whether you are just starting out or you have been self-employed for a while and never quite got round to “proper” planning, we will start with where you want to go and work out how to get you there.
You will leave with a clear picture of what goes into a business plan, how to anchor it in your purpose and vision, and how to set aligned goals that keep you moving forward. No jargon, no unnecessary complexity, and absolutely no boring PDFs.
By the end of this workshop, you will understand:
What a business plan is - and why it can be anything you want it to be.
Why having a business plan matters for you, not just for banks or investors.
How to break it down into clear, manageable sections.
How to create one that is useful, engaging, and will not gather digital dust.
Who will deliver this workshop?
Alice Reeves is a branding, marketing and communications expert, business consultant and ICF-trained coach with a decade of business ownership experience. After co-running a branding and digital marketing agency for five years, Alice now works independently, providing consulting, coaching and strategy for unconventional, ambitious founders, as well as fractional CMO/COO support for growing B2B service businesses. Alice is also the co-founder of Joyfully Different, a membership community and learning hub for neurodivergent business owners, freelancers and creatives.
Why women in business only?
This workshop is open to anyone who identifies as a woman in business, creative, or changemaker. It is hosted by Thrive - a magazine and community created by women in business, for women in business - built on peer support, shared expertise, and meaningful connection.
Women's voices, opinions, and expertise remain drastically underrepresented in business media. We exist to change that - by giving women in business, creatives, and changemakers a platform where they are seen and heard, and their voices amplified.
Thrive is a trans-women inclusive organisation. Trans women are women.
