The Power of the Personal Touch
As we mark Enjoolata Foundation's 5th birthday, the team have been reflecting on what’s truly made Enjoolata's journey meaningful and the answer, over and again, is the relationships that have been built during this time.
Last month's celebratory event at the Fitz wasn’t just about cake, although they were all amazing: thank you, again, to Bramber! It was a moment to bring together partners, supporters, and friends who have walked alongside us over the last 5 years. In a sector that thrives on connection, we hope that the event embodied the Enjoolata ethos: community building through real, human connection.
As our lives seem, more and more, to be dominated by digital tools and automation, it might surprise some that the most successful fundraising strategies are increasingly returning to lo-tech roots: a personal phone call to say thank you, a handwritten note that speaks directly to someone’s contribution, or simply inviting someone to witness your work up close. These gestures matter.
They’re simple and sincere; and they work.
Because in the third sector, it’s not just about raising funds, it’s about raising trust. And trust grows when people feel seen, heard, and valued.
It's why we love visiting our partners to see, first hand, the amazing work you all do. To see the impact it has on the people who are important to you, with whom you are building connections and expanding this wonderful, beautiful, network of individuals who care about, and look after each other.
As we look forwards, we’re doubling down on what we think has always worked best: a relationship-first approach, powered by genuine connection, not tech or AI.
Here’s to 5 years of community, and to many more built on the power of the personal touch.
