Come and help us build a human size beaver lodge.

In partnership with People's Park for Nature, we will be creating a human size beaver lodge out of the materials beavers would use themselves. The beaver lodge will act as an interactive art installation and education piece.

Beaver lodges are dome-shaped, stick-and-mud structures built in water bodies that act as crucial keystone features for ecosystems. They provide secure, warm shelters for beavers while their surrounding dams create wetlands, improve water quality, boost biodiversity, and mitigate floods. They are things to be celebrated!

Useful information

• 10am start, stay as long as you like!

• People of all ages welcome. Children must be supervised by an adult

• All equipment and gloves will be provided

• We will be working outside, please bring appropriate shoes, outerwear and suncream and plenty of water

• Tea, coffee and biscuits provided

• Bring a packed lunch
