Find Your Story as a Founder

Uncover the core story behind your business and the transformation you offer.

‘Find Your Story as a Founder’ is the first of three workshops in the series: ‘GROW YOUR WAY: Sell with Ease’.

Thursday, 5 November | 10am - 12pm | via Zoom

In business, clarity is often taken for granted. We assume we know why we do what we do - until someone asks, and the words do not come.

Every founder has a story that explains why their work matters. Yet most of us struggle to say it out loud.

If talking about your business feels awkward, unclear, or more like a pitch than a conversation - this workshop is for you.

In this interactive session, business storytelling coach Beatrice N. Kabutakapua will help you uncover the core story behind your business and the transformation you offer. The result? Talking about your work starts to feel like an invitation rather than a pitch.

What you will leave with:

  • Your origin story - the moments and experiences that shaped your work, brought to the surface.

  • Clarity on your purpose - a reason for doing what you do that you can feel and name, not just assume.

  • Clear next steps - a practical path to articulate your story with confidence in conversations, on social media, and in sales.

Who will deliver this workshop?

Beatrice N. Kabutakapua is a business storytelling speaker, Amazon bestselling author of Lead With Your Story, and founder of The Business Storytelling Centre. A former journalist and documentary maker, she works with leaders from global organisations to help them harness the power of their lived experience - so they communicate with authority, lead with authenticity, and create cultures where people are seen. Her work has reached over 10,000 people across three continents, in English, French, and Italian.

Why women in business only?

This workshop is open to anyone who identifies as a woman in business, creative, or changemaker.

It is hosted by Thrive Connected - a growing community of solo women business owners, brought together through a quarterly magazine, workshops, and networking events. We help women founders get clear on who they are, how they build a sustainable business, and how they want to make impact - and turn that clarity into visibility.

Thrive exists to increase the visibilty of women founders, and to expand what success in business looks like.

Thrive is a trans women-inclusive organisation. Trans women are women.

How do I get a ticket?

Tickets are free, thanks to funding from Enjoolata Foundation and Another Way Women’s Foundation.

Booking is essential via Eventbrite. The Zoom link will be shared with everyone who registers.

Please note, this workshop will not be recorded.
