Yoga And Sauna Sunday - Spring Equinox

Join a morning gathering at Lovebrook to welcome the spring equinox, with yoga, sauna and an escape into nature.

The Wheel of the Year is an ancient Celtic calendar of eight festivals that celebrate our connection with nature, signaling a shift in the season, weather, and the natural world around us. The arrival of spring was so significant to the ancient Celtic people that it was given three festivals. Ostara or spring equinox, the middle of the three, is at the balance point of ‘equal night’ when the natural harmonies between day and night, male and female, death and re-birth are celebrated. From here there will be more daytime than night time, the spring sunlight is gaining strength and everything is rushing out of hibernation- plants emerging from the soil, animals and people shedding winter coats.

WELCOME - Arrive to fresh coffee, herbal tea, delicious pastries and fruit.

YOGA - In the wellbeing space Charlie will warmly guide you through 1.5hrs of spring equinox meditation, breath work and yoga flow, ending with deep rest. Focussing on fluid movement to energise winter resistant bodies, and balance postures to replicate the qualities of equinox- to root into strength as the sun supercharges the earth and life starts ramping up.

SAUNA - Soak up the sight, sound, heat and pure simplicity of the fire. Your hosted 1.5hr wood-fired sauna session includes grouding essential oils and magnesium salt scrub to cleanse and detox. Lots of time to warm and soothe aching bodies and cool off outside as you sit with the willows or take in the spring South Downs view as you cold plunge.

8 spaces available - £45pp.

Lovebrook is a non-profit community interest company. The money you spend with us helps support our community and outreach work. Through this work, we offer wellbeing and nature based experiences for people who might not otherwise be able to access them. Thanks for being a part of this!
