Volunteer with The Tarner Community Project!

Who are the Tarner Community Project?

Tarner is a charity based in Tarner Park, Brighton, dedicated to supporting the local community and providing year round activities for children and young people. With OFSTED Good accreditation we offer a caring, inclusive service. Healthy living and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, with an emphasis on physical and outdoor activities.

Who do they need?

We are looking for volunteers to work a few hours aweek supporting community engagement, events, marketing and supporting park users and community members for tarner community project.

We always need "gardeners" or people happy to help clear green areas, veg patches etc

We hope to be delivering a local Godd News Newsletter twice a year and would love Local people to help by delivering the newsletter to their street/neighbours.

When do they need you?

Either 2x a year to help with leaflet and newsletter deliveries.

And we can be flexible- we provide holiday schemes between 9-6pm weekdays, an afterschool club everyday 3-6pm, and youth clubs/sports provision 3-4 evenings a week.  Our central tyeam work 10-6pm most days, although no staff work full time.

What do they need you for?

We would like to build on our assets and build community involvement in the project and greater community understanding about our offer.
We would also like to share the Good News that can be provided by the smaller charities like ourselves in the immediate area.

We can support volunteers by paying all out of pocket expenses, access to training, 1:1 Support and being a part of a freindly creative team.
Clear roles and expectations are agreed with each volunteer.
