Who do they need?
We are looking for volunteers who:
Have a keen community spirit and enjoy working as part of a team.
Are punctual. Will be discreet, professional and willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Are physically fit and happy to carry larger bags and crates of food.
Hold a full UK driving license and have access to a suitable vehicle for their volunteering duties.
Are available in the evening (limited daytime hours may also be available).
Always respect guidelines for the safety of yourself and others.
We also appreciate adaptability as donations can change daily.
We would appreciate where possible you to be available for training (if required)
When do they need you?
We have a few volunteering options:
Regular weekly role.
Bank and Ad Hoc volunteers who would be happy to step in for other volunteers when needed.
Each allocated collection takes approximately 2 hours total.
What do they need you for?
Collecting surplus perishable food from designated stores.
Driving collections back to our office in Denton for sorting.
Delivering food to assigned beneficiaries following current guidance.
Optional attendance of fetes and events
We are already supporting 18 different charities with daily donation and over 300 households a week. With your help we would be able provide even more support.
